Galaxy Note 8 to launch with Android 7.1.1 on board

On Thursday, the Galaxy Note 8 was spotted on the HTML5Test online database running Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which has sent loyal Galaxy Note fans into a frenzy as it suggests that the handset won’t ship with Android 8.0 on board.

Everything relating to the Galaxy Note 8 is hush-hush at the moment, so it should come as no surprise to hear that the listing doesn’t reveal any specific details about the device, other than the build of the Android it was running when it was tested.

However, the majority of leaks we’ve seen in recent weeks all claim that the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, an Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 836 processor and a minimum of 6GB of RAM.
